Why should they? They have a killer video technology they are giving
you free. The only price the ask is that you also and try it out.

I think that is a perfectly acceptable cost I am willing to pay.

Why should they be expected to give it away free? What does it get
them? Your everlasting support? How many Macs have you bought because
of it?

If you don't want to do that, you can always install Window Media
Player 9, and pass the "I own Windows" test, and allow them to update
at their leisure and send information about your playing habits back
to Microsoft. And sign away your soul.

Your choice.
