If they are legit then yes, get a lawyer and go over your computer with a finetooth comb. Do you have a static IP? Don't tell me, but find out. Find out if the MAC address matches. Have you been running any logs? What security were you running? Dont tellme, find out, start documenting all this.
You may be innocent but I would not trust the system to figure this out on its own.
