There are a couple of ways of doing this, I believe, depending on your domain controller. If you are using Active Directory, you can use one of the Apache LDAP authentication modules. I think there are two available- auth_ldap, and mod_auth_ldap.
If you are using old-school Windows domains, you can use the NTLM module: http://modntlm.sourceforge.net/ Read the notes, though, as it isn't super-secure. Also, I don't know if any of these modules come pre-compiled in Apache by default. > What I'm trying to accomplish: use existing Windows login so users do > not have to re-authenticate when hitting this Intranet app. > > My environment is: Linux/Apache 2/CFMX 7 Enterprise > > Any suggestions? > THX! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:184325 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
