It's 2.5 hours. Judge your child's attention span. There is a reason kids' 
movies generally run 1.5 hours max, IMO. That's a long time for a seven year 
old to sit in a seat.

There is some on-screen murder, just like in the book. If you think that will 
give your kid nightmares, don't let them see it.
