No, I don't think so. At least not at a significant enough sales level
to really blame the incentives. I don't have figures, but my guess is
that people who were going to buy something as big as a Hummer were
going to buy it anyway and the incentives just finally gave them their
reason to trade in their monster truck with the 70 inch tires from the
1980s for something new and just as ridiculous.
