MS Word has been hell on our RSS feeds, and was one of the main reasons we moved from TinyMCE to FCK Editor (http://www.fckeditor.net/). FCK has both "Paste from Word" and "Paste as Plain Text" buttons that do the trick, but you still have to trust your client to use them. I've been meaning to see if there are any built-in Paste events that could trigger an automatic clean-up, but I haven't had the time yet. I'll let y'all know if I ever find out anything.
