When I was hired from another company, I gave my 2 week notice as most people do, however, just like you, I was locked out of everything within maybe 30 minutes. So all I did was play Spades Online for that week and on that Thursday, I was told that they Wanted me to answer phones to help customers the last week I was there.
I kindly stated.. "hmm, now how in the world am I to help someone when I do not have access to create the support tickets, view account information, validate file uploads, etc.. Since I have no access to anything.?" Better yet, right after that I told him "ok no problem.. Here is a Sample call "Hello and thanks for calling.. Wait one second let me Get someone who can help you cause I do not have access to that." He said, "Yeah you can do that, so you can screen the calls and direct Them to the appropriate person." Friday afternoon around 3 or so, I took my badge off, went over to the Project Manager and gave it to him along with a piece of paper and said to him "Here is my formal letter of resignation effective immediately, Have a nice day" Oh by the way, my salary increased 23K.. :-) BIG INCREASE!!
