It's cool, but it is a very different modality than most. With Pandora each and every track is analyzed and assigned a "genetic" profile. With other things (like MSN or Napster's similar features) it's all based on aggregate user rating data. The "problem" (if you can call it that) with Pandora is that the system really is only as good as the amount of music they've analyzed - and that's an unending job. With pure aggregation there's little to no continuous development: the more people you get the better the results. I'm not saying that one is better or worse than the other. They both definitely seem to work well. But I have a feeling that Pandora might be "better with fewer" while the others might be "good enough with lots". I've only been playing with it for a few hours tho'. One annoyance (which I'm sure will be remedied) is that you can click on a playing track and get more information about it or the band. Essentially a merging of the feature set of MSN favorites stations and Pandora would be perfect for me. ;^) Jim Davis ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Find out how CFTicket can increase your company's customer support efficiency by 100% http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=49 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:184704 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
