I have done some C++ and Java programming, enough to understand OO concepts.  I 
grasp the concept of methods and data in a class and overloading (something not 
in CF).  Other concepts are a bit more foreign, but I'm a recycled FORTRAN 
programmer.

I'll look into these, but most likely I'll do a hybrid for now and try to 
migrate into a full OO application separating presentation from data 
manipulation.  I think with the migration of the Intranet to CF will allow me 
to implement a lot of I think I need to learn.

I think I can use a lot of these, but need to make small steps right now.
