Heh. I met her family *prior* to the first "date". I use those quotes for a reason.
We were supposed to go out, but her grandmother had a heart attack. So I went down to the hospital to meet her, run errands as necessary, entertain her daughter, and be generally supportive. She and her mother stepped out for what was supposed to be a 20min. errand about 1.5 hours before I showed up, but got lost and didn't arrive until after I'd been there for half an hour. In the meantime, the rest of her family had shown up and, having been tipped off to my presence and appearance, introduced themselves. Actually, they walked up and said, "Are you Benjamin?" My look was accurately described as "deer in headlights". Anyhoo, we're both very family-oriented, so this isn't really that fast or surprising.
