I have found that if you have something that looks expensive you become a magnet.
I was taking pictures at a Minor League baseball game here in town (Lexington Legends) I have a fairly nice camera and was using a pretty large sports lens. I was really concentrating on getting good shots, but there were these girls that would keep coming over to talk to me. I didn't know if it was the camera or my stunning good looks, I just assumed it was my looks but when I put my camera away the girls didn't come over as much.
