i'd hate to think you're basing your opinion of the medium as a whole
on the ending of Anaconda (or really any part of the movie).

watch an episode of Lost (altho this deep into season 2 i'd probably
suggest renting season 1 first and catching up).

watch an episode of House (easier to jump on board without renting a
season's worth of shows).

actually those are the only 2 shows that I watch right now, so it's
really all i can recommend. but i do think that either/or would
adequately show that, while I do agree that a vast majority of TV is
devoid of any true meaning or worth, there are a few oases out in that
wasteland :)
