Yes, you can pick up the Origin 6 issue miniseries (think it's probably also collected in trade paperback) to read about ...well, about his origin :)
Scott may have been thinking of Marvel's 1602 miniseries written by Neil Gaiman. Was an...interesting series, although a little slow moving. I think I still need to go back and read the 8 issues back-to-back, as by the time issue 8 came out, I had forgotten what had gone on before. But I'm fairly confident in saying that the characters from that miniseries are NOT today's heroes (otherwise they're all pretty old) :) courtesy links: Origin: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/078510965X/002-4645225-0490409?v=glance&n=283155 1602: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0785110739/qid=1133895740/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/002-4645225-0490409?s=books&v=glance&n=283155 On 12/6/05, Ben Doom <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > According to Marvel.com (Marvel Universe link): > > James Howlett, the mutant now known as Wolverine, was born into > privilege in Alberta, Canada, during the late 19th century.... > > --Ben > > Scott Stewart wrote: > > Marvel did a comic book series called Wolverine, I think they had traced him > > back to somewhere in the late to mid 1600's > > > > Maybe Mikey D has some better infor? > > > > sas > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:186151 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
