Actually, this was a very sweet cat early on.  We got her as a kitten 
when my youngest sister was a newborn.  Then, my sister got old/big 
enough to pick the cat up and toddle about with her, and pretty soon, 
she'd hugged and squeezed and petted all the sweet right out of that 
cat.  Somewhere, there's a great photo of sister J at about 2 holding 
the cat with a big grin on her face, and the cat looking at the camera 
like, "Do you see what I have to put up with?"

Occasionally, she still does nice things, though.  For my birthday a few 
years back, for example, she brought me two dead mice for breakfast.
