I completely disagree with this. Proper grammar (and spelling and punctuation) are easier for some people then others (just as ColdFusion, Java, etc. are). Some people do need to spend time to properly write a message and cannot "just get it right" on the first pass (me included). In an environment like this it is very easy to rush and not worry about such things because it is seen as a "casual" list.
That being said, I would never correct someones grammar on a mailing list or forum because mine is atrocious even though I have two grammar pet peeves ( alot and improperly using good instead of well).
