I think that that behavior is evidence that they *are* handicapped, and 
should get the broken legs to prove it.  On the other hand, I have done 
this exactly once -- and I was injured, unable to walk far, and trying 
to be quick about my business.  If they put a brace on your leg at the 
hospital, I'm saying you get a bit of leeway.  :-)

I said thanks for that just this morning.  It always bugs me when I hold 
doors for people and they act like it's just expected.

I also get annoyed with baggers who insist on using a bag per item.  I 
didn't really come to the store to buy plastic bags, right?
