Probably better. I have a 4 year old 8hp John Deere and it's been kinda crappy. While the engine has always ran fine, the drive basically disintergrated and I had to tear it apart and fix it. This was due to a poor design and shoddy parts. I'm waiting for the thing to blow up, but the engine seems pretty good. Needs chains, though.
