My sister's daughter, my neice, has an issue. She is in kindergarten and about a month ago nearly the whole class got a sickness of some sort. They were all throwing up, not eating, trying to get better, etc etc etc...
Anyway, that was nearly 1.5 months ago. My neice is still not eating. She will drink a few sips of Propel, and a sip or two of Ovaltine, but starting like yesterday she will not do that. She says it hurts her stomache. Her mother and her live at home with MY very coddling mother (her grandmother) and has since birth. My mother is a saint, and is always there for her. Her mother is now in a new relationship and is now engaged. We thought for some time that this might just be a power move, because she is no longer the center of mommies attention. But now we are almost over a month out and a she has gone from around 52 lbs to just over 40. To me, thats about 20% loss, and as uncle and GodFather I feel kinda helpless. Any one ever had a six year old anorexic on their hand?
