I think you're missing the point of Corrigan's statement. His bandmate *was
in rehab*, he'd realized he had a problem and was doing something about it.
This is the point where you need a support structure, something to return to
when you get out.

Corrigan turned his back, and said "fuck you", that disgusts me.

I understand, better than most that you have to hit rock bottom before you
seek help, I've been down that road.

you can be there all you want for them.
i am. but when they arent there for themselves
its a little hard to be there.

if you tell me you have a problem, and then go
in the back room, and hit the pipe, and then come
lie to me... well, jokes on you jack. crack is a one
way road, with room for one driver. you can stand
there on the shoulder, and wave, and yell, but if
they are not listening, there is no point.

ill never NOT be there for him. but for fucks sake.
if you've given up on yourself, how can you expect
anyone to help you?
