As an update - My wife took me to the emergency room last night because of pain that I was experiencing in my back, shoulder and left hip area. It turns out that I likely fractured a rib. The pain has been steadily increasing. I was prescibed motrin (which doesn't seem to be cutting it) and vicodin (which I'm hesitant to take as I don't think you can drive when you take it). My car was officially declared totaled as well.
So, I guess I was hit a bit harder than I first thought...
