There is definitely a cost of living increase in SD. I rent here and I will likely move away from SD rather than buy an overpriced home here. There are many other benifits of living in San Diego though. I like to have things to do. I like it to be warm where I live. I like having a beach where I live. I like beautiful people walking around me all the time.
I have higher costs than some other people. I may not make as much money here as I could in another city.
