There is definitely a cost of living increase in SD. I rent here and
I will likely move away from SD rather than buy an overpriced home
here. There are many other benifits of living in San Diego though. I
like to have things to do. I like it to be warm where I live. I like
having a beach where I live. I like beautiful people walking around
me all the time.

I have higher costs than some other people. I may not make as much
money here as I could in another city. But at the end of my life I
don't want to look back and realise I spent my entire youth living in
shits-ville scrimping and saving just so I could finally have saved
enough to retire just before I die and leave it all to my kids.
