When this situation comes up my response is that, I'll do it in ASP, JSP, or
even god help me PHP, but it will cost you more and take longer to complete.

I've never had anyone insist on going with a different language. I wouldn't
be too sure about a client that insists on having that much control over my
process anyway. If the site gets done, and it works, why would it matter
what language the site is programmed in?
