You're getting into the "Give me liberty or give me death" realm, but I'll leave that. As to the vigilance, I agree. It seems like our big problem with 9/11 was that same as with any bureaucracy - the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing. Also we weren't tracking foreign "students" as well as we should and our border control was crap. Then there was lax security everywhere. Tightening all of these things up likely would've prevented 9/11 and, if not, they should all be fixed. But that's it. The "Patriot" Act feels like we're giving away our freedom to the government because we're threatened. I dunno about you, but my dead grandfather fought for my freedom in WWII. How would he feel if I gave it away? It seems like such an insult to our troops to tell them to fight for freedom overseas and then to give it away at home. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:189364 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
