More than 4000 years. But not from the Bible. The best estimates from biblical archeology is that the bible was constructed around 600 to 700 BC.
Moreover if you want to depend on the bible as a guide to the natural world, then you're in trouble already, the old and new testiments are rife with error, like the sun and moon orbiting the earth, the wrong number of legs on certain types of insects etc., and the size of the throats of whales for instance But it is very good on things like how to crush the heads of infants from surrounding hill tribes, enslaving other children or having sex with your recently widowed sister in law. There is a place for religion, but it isn't in biology classrooms. larry On 12/23/05, Chesty Puller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Fine, I can live with that, if you can agree with the fact that evolution > delves into areas that specifically influence areas of human development > that for over 4000 years has been the realm of religion, and therefore, > rightfully, people who subscribe to such religions that are contradicted by > evolution have the right to either have their viewpoints discussed, or the > whole issue removed altogether. > > - Matt > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Cameron Childress" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: "CF-Community" <[email protected]> > Sent: Friday, December 23, 2005 11:31 AM > Subject: Re: ID is a pretty sh*tty science > > > > On 12/23/05, Chesty Puller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> The real problem with disallowing ID in schools is that evolution > >> contradicts creationism.
