FEMA inspected my apartment in the beginning of October and the inspecter told my wife and I we were probably going to get rental assistance and assistance to replace some of my personal property. Now, almost 3 months later FEMA has just realized that I made a personal property claim as well as a rental assistance claim. And that took 10 calls in 3 weeks to make happen. I just want this to be closed so I can move on with my life. Until then, I have to submit incessant paperwork to them to prove I am still alive, paying rent at a place other than where I lived before the storm, and working. So who knows how long it will take for them to actually review my application and claim. I just love the bloated bureaucracy we have created at work. Makes me want to call fire in on them. Anyone think an artillery barrage will reach from Baghdad, Iraq to Hyattsville, Maryland?
