Anybody else catch it? I was soooo disappointed by "Morel Orel" on Adult Swim (there are so many good, intelligent ways to satire "Davey and Goliath" and this just wasn't one of them). But then "The Boodocks" Christmas special came out and renewed my faith.
The Vince Gauraldi music, the fevered "Santa as Messiah" dream, Santa using a little girl as a human shield and so much more. And Uncle Ruckus finally got to really shine! His speech "calming" the "pretty little white children with their precious little vanilla-colored faces" is freakin' priceless. The casting meeting was classic. "We've Mrs. Cheval the third grade teacher... or Angela Bassit." But I think my favorite line - and I don't really know why - was "Don't you look at Quincy Jones! Quincy Jones isn't gonna help you!" There isn't a funnier show on television right now in my opinion.
