Keep up to date with patches, have an updated Anti-virus, use a firewall,
use Firefox. Only issues I've ever had were with a bad video driver from
ASUS. My machine has been rock solid as well...

Also, if you are on broadband, make sure to be NAT'ed behind a router. That
will stop the majority of scans dead.

Cheers,

Jeff

For me... sure.

I keep up with patches and follow recommendations (virus scan, malware
scans, etc) and my security has never been compromised. I've not been
forced to reinstall Windows to fix problems in... shit... years. It's far
and away the most usable Windows ever and, in my opinion, the most
user-friendly OS overall.

This all might be a good bit of luck on my part: I'll happily admit. But,
for me at least, "no harm" is equal to "no foul".
