Well, Pres Clinton once famously summed up his foreign policy this way: If it promotes a global economy, I'm for it. If it opposes it, I'm against it. I agree with Clinton. Isolationist protectionism is the fastest way to poverty. I used to have this argument with a staunch unionist who said we were all doomed by "rice eaters 24/7". What he meant was that there were foreign workers willing to work 24/7 and eat only rice and that would destroy America. I'd ask him where he bought his latest gadget and he'd say Wal-mart. I'd ask where it was made. China. The point is, even the most critical opponent is really a proponent of globalization. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:190726 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
