America is a ***Democracy*** It is a free voting society, the people VOTE for their leader. How can you bring Papa Doc into this discussion as being relevant to a Democratic vote? You can't even compare that to Castro since he too is a Dictator and was not voted into power, so one can never make a statement except subjectively that any Cuban majority want him in power.
Bush didn't come to office by force, or by coercion. This latest election he was **VOTED** in by a popular majority. He won the majority of the People's vote.Therefore when people outside America thinks he represents the views of the American majority , then I can't see how you can say they are incorrect. Whether you personally like it or not he is YOUR President, and moreover as President of the UNited States he is supposedly the leader of Western Society by extension. Which is, for me, a problem since I do not agree with much of his actions as President. He served TWO terms. Are you also going to say that a majority of Americans did not want Clinton as their President? Up to late last year Americans loved Bush, he was their darling! The country was and is split and horribly divided over his policies but his religous conservative base is still strong. And hell yes! The Germans of the time **Wanted** Hitler as their leader, and fully supported him!They went to war based on his Ideals!
