I worked for a company with 50 or so employees at our location. There was a little cutie from Belize in the accounting department. After a couple of lunches we started going out.
Then we went to a company party together one night and someone made the comment that everyone at the table was married except for me. Someone questioned them and they went around the table: bob is married, Drew is married, Christine is married, at this point I felt a two sharp tinges of pain, one in my heart and the other as Christine's GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip impression dug deep into my leg. Turns out she was married. I never knew. But obviously others knew both that she was married and that we weren't going to McDonald's during our lunch break. Including the friend who was letting us use his apartment. He is also the guy that let us go to his apartment knowing that facilities management was replacing the faucet in his kitchen that day. Tom was at work, nobody else had a key. We were in the living room, why stop. Just let them knock. We didn't even hear the key slide into the lock, or the door open.
