hey guys. just a question on earnings compared to stress. as you know i was unemployed after the bubble popped for a bit... then when i finally landed on my feet again my income had dropped by about 6k. luckily my wife had a steady job at the time & we where able to recoup & save & buy a house. now at her place of employment it is a very sick/bad environment. financial institutions with many mergers & whole sections of the institution getting whipped out on a weekly basis. those remaining, are scratching there way to the top. often i hear how this person had a breakdown, or that manager is crying in the next cube over... so on a flip side, she was just offered a position with a religious non-profit broadcast co. doing graphic design. would be way more creative. but would pay 4k less.. i am looking at my bills trying to see how it would impact us financially. and i cant pinpoint any real problems.. i know her sanity & happiness is well worth it. but i feel a little put off that we have had a 10k decline in income in 4 years.... btw..
