I am really upset by this. I mean bad. Coming after the eminent domain decision, the patriot act (which is anything but patriotic), and all of the bad laws we already had on the books (welfare, income tax, unconstitutional government agencies), this is horrible. It's one more step down the path to tyranny as far as I am concerned.
I know most people just think it's a NICE thing. Yeah, lets help take care of the poorer members of our society, sure that sounds great. Let's look at the long term effects this could potentially have. How many people does Wal-Mart employ in the US alone? Not to mention world wide. How many will have to be cut in order to pay for health care, and still maintain their prices? How long before the next government requirement puts them out of business, then you have 1.8 million employees with no jobs, who are also not buying food, cars, gas, smokes, going to the movies. The backlash would be horrible. Seriously, if you had a job there and you worked hard and you knew what was going on, you were promoted quickly. My wife and I had a friend that went on to be a district manager and makes over 6 figures, and he started out socking shelves. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:192186 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
