I've been to them. I can get newly released DVDs and all the other crap closer and without the hassle of mega parking lots, wandering giant aisles where people use cellphones just to find lost loved ones, and long lines of tired and miserable masses waiting to part with a few less rubles.
When I visit my family they always make trips to BJs or Costco and what would have been a five minute trip to the corner store becomes a 2 hour excursion and everyone is exhausted and cranky afterwards.
