The model of wal-mart is to undercut competitors by buying in bulk and
passing the savings on the consumer.

Why, because people want to pay less for the stuff they need and want.
When other companies started buying for similar prices; wal-mart adapted
by paying employees less.

It isn't the greed of the company that causes wal-marts actions, it is
the desires of the consumer that force wal-mart to do these things. If
wal-mart were the same price people wouldn't shop there.
