We use MSN messenger and love it. There are actually two modes: one is "video conversation" and the other is "webcam". The former is a bi-directional conversation between two people while the latter is just a broadcast that several people can watch. We use the broadcast for holidays and such to send video of the kids opening presents to the grandparents.
