##| how'd you litter box train them?
##| did you crate train them?

Both came to us crate trained. Most iggies are very secure and happy in
their crates. Spike and Lucy spend all day in theirs as during the work
day they aren't allowed to run around. So they cuddle up together and
sleep. Of course they go outside at noon and 3pm and at 6pm they go
upstairs into the living room and are out for the evening where they are
then either spoiled or sleeping under a blanket.

As for the litter box, when I first set up Spike's crate, I made sure
she only had JUST enough space to sleep in a ball. The rest was blocked
off except for the litter box. She wouldn't soil where she slept, so her
only choice was the litter box. When she consistently went in there ...
I unblocked the rest of the crate. Lucy simply followed Spike's example.

I use regular non-clumping cat litter. The old-fashioned kind.
