I'd love to see Terry Brook's Sword of Shannarra turned into a movie. I think it'd go over real well with the LOTR fans. I also just read Cornelia Funke's Dragon Rider and I think it'd make a fantastic kids movie.
I'm gonna ditto Calvin and Hobbes, with the hopes we won't have another 'Garfield'. However, I thought Bill Watterson sued to prevent the commercialization of his comic (but couldn't find any links to verify that). I'm eagerly awaiting something more from Futurama. A movie has not been officially announced last i checked, but there have been a lot of rumors. The plot on IMDB is actually a fake plot someone got up there to prove that IMDB doesn't check sources. <http://www.gotfuturama.com/Futurama/News/1124958295,67994,/> At 08:05 AM 1/18/2006, you wrote: >Subject: So what story SHOULD be made into a movie? >From: "Jim Davis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Date: Tue, 17 Jan 2006 17:04:27 -0500 >Thread: >http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm/method=messages&threadid=20147&forumid=5#192844 > >So we've been talking about how bad (or, rarely, good) a job hollywood's >done with many sci-fi movies based on books.
