Yes I did see the series, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, I especially
like the addition of the Skinnies and the conceptualization of the
powered armor. My dissapointment in the animated series was that it
still focused on the classic "guys in the trenches" warfare. I suppose
it "had to" for dramatic purposes, but I think that given a chance and
the right editing you could pull the same "drama" and even intamacy
from a conversation between compatriots that takes place over miles of
impact craters, etc.

There was just something so visceral about the description of bounding
over the countryside launching portable nukes that was so very very
lacking from the movies/TV show.

And I haven't bothered with Starship Troopers 2...I'm pretty sure it
would just make me cry...

Come to think of it, the powered armor suits in Final Fantasy were
supercool, except for the bizarre short pants...never did figure that
one out...

I don't know if it is still in print, but if it is I highly recommend
it. it's pre-witches and majic Norton, something I could never
stomach.
