I found a distribution called e-smith (www.e-smith.org) which is
excellent (IMHO). I installed it on an old P166 with a 10GB drive in
it. Installation was a breeze and configuration was so simple. I have
it installed as an Internet server/gateway.

e-smith also provides ibays which you can configure to be available to
the internal network, or both internal and external networks. I have a
few set up for things like shared data and an mp3 jukebox etc... These
are secure to the outside world.

e-smith has everything you need to, email server, http server, dhcp etc
etc etc...

I would recommend it to anyone... even those who haven't done anything
with linux before... it's VERY simple!
