It was an odd movie which seemed to end in a out of context manner. From my
understanding (an memory), Dr. Gray was just one (leader) of the viral
aliens and Duddets was a from a race that tries to control the virus aliens
from out breaking. Since Duddets was obviously physic, he knew that Dr Gray
would eventually show up and if allowed to spread would become a danger to
everyone (not just us). He also prepared the group of guys for there
upcoming outbreak.

I think Duddets was just the kid that the 'good' alien lived it (a good
parasite?) while he waited for Dr. Gray to show up.

Either way, there has to have been a lot missing from the book because the
meaning didn't flow aside from this literal interpretation. Or perhaps
that's all that was there but it left me feeling that there was supposed to
be something more.

And why was Dr. Gray English? Perhaps portray his intelligence to show he
was not just some 'dumb' virus?
