Yeah, well it's been like this since I got here. I worked 60 hours the first week I was here, 45 the second, and less than 40 the entire rest of the time (2 months). I only gave notice 2 weeks ago. I told my manager that there just wasn't enough work for me or the other new guy - he said that they'd prefer to have people waiting to do work when it's available rather than need them and not have them. I have tweo thoughts on this:
1) It's a recipe for bankruptcy 2) I have no guarantee 4 months from now that they'll need me - there's so little work to do that they might just realize that it's no worth it to pay for me or the other guy. Not that I think they wouldn't keep me, I think they would. They've told me that I would be hired full time as a senior developer. Fine, but now I've got two months of inactivity. Use it or lose it. I'm totally bored. And I'm really looking forward to MS on Monday. 4 weeks of training and then on the phone! - Matt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ray Champagne" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "CF-Community" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2006 10:42 AM Subject: Re: If you had to change your name, what might you change it to? > So...can we tell that Matt is a short-timer at his current job? > > Catching up on Blogs, random questions.
