Nope, the wifi works great. You can get EV-DO, but it's $45/mo so I'm not getting it, but it's available and the little icon shows up. You can't use the phone and the Wifi at the same time, but there's a hack to fix that although I like it as it because Verizon's "Web2.0" option uses minutes.
