Can't you create a Hosts file entry that basically redirects requests, to their ad server, to a non-existent address?
I also hate crap like this. Just because the majority of their users are kids who don't care about the sounds, they then force it on the adults. Don't these dumbasses realize they are only shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to corporate acceptance?
