I guess it sort of depends on your definition. From what I gathered from his rants, the "backdoors" are a combination of minor security flaws and being designed to be able to be published via web services.
I'd say this isn't backdooring, because it doesn;t seem to me the intrne was to let Ray hax0r ur b0xx3n.
