That depends on what you have done and your willingness to be awake for it. I don't think the local anesthetic injections (Novocaine) would affect you but if you get knocked out with nitrous-oxide you could have some lingering effects that would impair your ability to drive. I say could because I've just taken the shots when I have had things done so I have no first hand experience. My wife, however, usually gets knocked out and I have to drive her (or at least pick her up).
