I'm not sure how much you guys discuss LOST on places other than this list, but
the episode DID seem a bit like the writers were answering some questions that
people have had on some of the more popular messageboards.

For example, people had pointed out that the laundry machines looked newer than
everything else quite a bit.

Also, people were talking about how nobody on the island talked to each other,
so nobody on the island knew as much as us, but then Charlie mentioned Kate's
horse sighting and peoples' Walt visions that demonstrated the losties
conversations off-camera.

There was also some question as to whether or not Libby was actually on the
plane, so she talked to Hurley about him stepping on her foot on his way onto
the plane. (though whether or not this actually happened.... i don't know)

So my question is... how far ahead do they write/shoot the episodes? I assume
the main plotlines have been determined far ahead, but they leave room for
small clarifications in some episodes. Also, I assume they use polls to find
viewers' favorite/least favorite characters/aspects about the show and
incorporate them into further episodes? Furthermore, I read that Michael won't
be back for a while, mainly because it is known the actor is doing something
else not in Hawaii for a while.
