I don't think the people currently in power are open to being convinced. I personally don't feel much guilt about them being there... I literally did everything I could at the time, but the fix was in down here, in case Ohio went wrong I guess.
I do think that a nation that wants to support its troops would do far better to provide in in some tangible form -- funding for health care, a new GI Bill perhaps --than to stick bumper stickers on its SUVs and call it good. I don't think the soldiers have much choice in the wars they fight once they sign up. Dana >I never said you had a moral choice. I said I don't agree with his stance >that it's the soldier's fault. It's my fault for not being more politically >active. It's my fault for not convincing enough people in power that war >isn't the answer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:194682 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
