Israel has the moral high ground already. They abandoned Gaza. They promoted a two-state solution. They agreed to let the PLO back into the territories in the first place.

First, they don't have a nuke quite yet. Second, the president might be a complete nutter, but lots of people in their government would have to play along in order to carry out a nuclear attack, and they recognize that the day they drop a nuke on Israel is the day Iran ceases to exist as a country. Nukes are not an effective offensive weapon when your enemy has them, too. That's what mutually assured destruction is all about.
