Micheal, you do not know what you're talking about. Canada is claiming
its arctic islands, which historically and practically are Canadian
jurisdiction.

The thing is that most countries do recognize the claim. The US and
Russia may have some problems with the free passage of their nuclear
subs if Canada starts seriously enforcing its claims to the arctic
islands.

When the passages under dispute are within the continental shelf
limits, and well within the 25 mile limit of Canadian territory.
