The south of Spain is called Andalucia in spanish, which is a transliteration 
of Al Andalus into spanish from arabic.

Ancient greek and arabic are parts of different linguistic families, but I 
think they might share some common words or sounds because there has been so 
much trade across the eastern Mediterranean throughout the course of history.
